Reaction to Pore Refiner Serum.
Pore refiner serum contains a very low concentration of Retinoyl Hyaluronate. As you know, I have always avoided Retinol in our formulations, given the allergenic nature of this substance.
This Retinoyl is contained in a complex with, among other things, hyaluronate; a salt of hyaluron (i.e. the more stable form).
We approved this because the concentration was so low: 0.01%. The safety assessor and the dermatological patch test that was carried out also indicated that it is completely harmless. (Test reports can be sent to you upon request)
Yet only a few people seem to be reacting now. These are usually people who have had previous contact with Retinol or Vitamin A acid.
I suggest that your client stop using Pore Refiner and use Vitamin D serum or Stem Cell serum or Coup d'excellence instead.
The fact that Retinol can be present in your body for up to two months means that you should not have any contact with retinoids for a while.
