More comedones has come since I started with the pore cleanser instead of my regular cleanser, is it normal?

Retinaldehyde or retinal which was an ingredient in your previous cleanser, is a rather strong Acid.
For sure it will offer immediate and strong results in short time but at longer time it might damage the entire micro system on the stratum corneum.
If the microsystem is damaged it will take some time to re-install.    Depending on age it might take between 28 days to 60 days or even longer. (understand it follows the speed of cellular turnover in the epidermis).

Where you controlled the comedones in the past by etching those away with retinaldehyde, the microbiotic life also was etched away.  This means that at first you see the comedones fading, but the problem of unbalance was not cleared and even made worse by taking away all self defense mechanisms.
As mentioned, it will take some time (between 30 to 60 days) of daily routine with prebiotic pore clear cleanser to restore the microbiotic life.

Please try to understand the below information coming from a clinical study on the main ingredient in the Prebiotic Pore Care Cleanser.

On the left picture you see the microbiota on acne skin.  There is no communication between the different species on the skin, that results in overgrowth of certain microbiotas such as acnes and staphylococcus epidermidis.

In the middle picture you see that skin treated with a placebo cream with 2 % salicylic acid.  Again, here there is no communications between species.

In the picture on the right, you see the skin treated with 2 % FOS (fructo oligo saccharides) where we can notice a clear communication between all species.
Please continue to try the cleanser for a longer period of time and I promise you will see a marked improvement.
