I keep on hearing about a Tesla Med device. What is it?

I return briefly to the TESLA MED device, which apparently shows such innovation and promise, and give my comments below.

1.    The company TESLA MED Srl, Via Giolitti 43, Grugliasco Torino Italy.
Founded in 1998

1998 - BIRTH OF THE COMPANY
The company was founded under the name One Technology from the spin-off of the Piedmont capital's technology hub in the research of plasmas, electromagnetic fields and ionisation energies.
The company took its first steps in high-energy physics, plasma physics, ionisation forces and the interaction between light and matter.

2002 - MULTI-STATION TECHNOLOGY
The company designed and sold the first multistation for aesthetic use with patented biofeedback technology with global success, introducing the concept of advanced aesthetics for the first time.

2005 - COMPLEX
The first Lipolisthesis system capable of accelerating cellular metabolism by activating the cellular sodium/potassium pump was presented at Cosmoprof in Bologna, with excellent results in the treatment of fat.

2008 - OEM DESIGN AND PRODUCTION
The company also started manufacturing medical and aesthetic devices for third parties and developed various technologies for many prestigious brands.

2009 - MULTIONE COMPLEX
The introduction of Mixed Technology presents for the first time the concept of simultaneous emission of multiple wavelengths, expanding the range of possible applications and meeting the real needs of the professional aesthetic market.

The Transpormed device, a high-quality transdermal carrier, also sees the light of day.

In connection with this technology, the brand 'Metamophosis Laboratoires' was born, one of the first cosmetics brands to present serums and creams for administration, as well as the lines Stratosphear, Equinox, Black Moon, Phaedra, Rubycon and Legend.

2010 - BIO PLASMA RF 1000
The world's first ion emission device for the treatment of benign pigmented lesions was created.

2011 - THE NEW CHALLENGE
We are starting to develop ablative ion devices with the best technologies and state-of-the-art performance, allowing doctors to operate quickly and safely.

In a short time, the company became one of the leading manufacturers of ionisation devices for surgery and urology, a true reference partner for many international companies operating in these fields.

2017 - TESLA MED
The company changes its name to Tesla Med, dedicated to last century's genius Nikola Tesla.

2018 - TESLA MED ION STREAM 680R / TESLA ION BEAM 770 FAT
The first integrated ion-emitting device "Tesla Med Ion Stream 680R" is born and used in a variety of aesthetic applications, from microlifting to skin laxity. Production and distribution of the "Tesla Med Ion Beam 770 Vet", for advanced veterinary surgery, begins.

2019 - TESLA MED ION STREAM 680 PRO
Creation of the "Tesla Med Ion Stream 680 Pro", even more powerful, with packet-sampling ion emission and currents.

2.    The technology used.

It is easy to see that the origin of the device is Italian.  Italians often prefer multifunctional devices.  Which functions is often an afterthought, as long as it is more than 1.  This is also why the NBE 3000 was so hard to come by in Italy.

The technology combinations used are ;
-    Ion flows (ionisation)
-    Micro currents (microcurrents or electromagnetic pulsations as used in TENS equipment " TENS = Transcutaneous electrical neuro stimulater " ((=medical device ≠ cosmetic aesthetic !))
-    Transdermic carrier or as they describe themselves Iontoporesis.

3.    Patented !

It could be that I am looking over it but I cannot find anything via EU patent search.
If I tick in the search term ION STREAM, I do get a lot of patents, but none that point in the medical aesthetiscche direction and none from Italy and certainly not under the name IONMED.
So I think there is a run on the truth here.   It speaks eloquently that everyone knows that the national patent is always accepted, but does not grant rights to the owner.   Nannic once had a patent on Supersunic self-tanner !

4.    A little more on the technology.

A.    Ionisation.  When one speaks of a current of ionisation (ION STREAT), it means that under the influence of a certain (electrical) voltage, certain particles are repelled or absorbed.      The (+) attracts the (-) and vice versa.  The (+) repels the (+) and the (-) also repels the (-).    One then gets resectively to an anode and a cathode with a negative and positive charge, respectively.   I won't elaborate further on this.

Now Ionisation is certainly not new. As early as 1875, Jean Jacques D'Arsonval knew that a galvanic current can trigger an Ion current.
The fact that IonMed now does this through TENS or through the direct current of a battery is also not new.
Ionisation used to be taught to every beautician under the name "Iontophoresis".   HItherwise, disincrustation was the only method that really worked provided using a reversal.
Only later was D'Arsonval active with alternating current and the diathermy that results.   (Diathermy = development of heat in the tissue.  A technology we still use with RF.

Question now is where does the Ionisation lead ?
-    The plasma ?
-    The interstitial fluid ?
-    The cytoplasm ?
In doing so, should we ask whether there is no danger of pH change under the influence of these ionising forces ? I fear so, either the stress field is so late that it can have little effect.

A.     Microcurrents.  Again, this is far from new and the combination of the two has been used in the BLEND method in needle hair removal for at least 50 years.

One penetrates the hair follicle with a thin needle and administers a charge ionising current (also called chemical energy)
They then deliver an alternating current that causes a temperature rise so that the already damaged follicle dies and the hair can be removed.  (Also called permanent epilation)

Finally, my overall reflection.

I always wonder when a company pretends to be an innovative engineer in medical applications that they are still targeting the aesthetic beauty industry.  This always gives me a feeling of " I want to, but I can't).   We and also our manufacturer maintain 2 totally different lines that do rely on the same principle but are otherwise incomparable.   They also refer to the 2015 legislation while the MDR is from 2016.

I also find it a bit strange that ; if one reads the Italian site, it mentions that "if after some time of operation doubts start to arise, the trainers can always be contacted again".   I read from this that the trainers are motivators !?!!

Furthermore, I also always find it very peculiar when one comes up with names and pictures of prominent doctors that there is none that one can trace within the given specialism.  The names do appear under other specialisms, but then the pictures cannot be compared.  You can look further into it yourself, as I didn't want to spend too much time on this either.   If I do the same test of people I know within the dermato specialism, I immediately get a lot of info on that person!?
So it's all very questionable.
